What is an authorization form?

​The authorization form allows CARTEK Collision to begin repairs on the vehicle. You will receive a detailed explanation when you arrive at the shop. The authorization form may vary from state to state.



Who can Sign the authorization form?

Anyone who is on your insurance policy can sign the authorization form.



Do you know how much it is going to cost?

The repair costs will depend on the extent of the vehicle damage. Once the shop receives the
vehicle, they will reach out to you within 24-48 hours to talk you through the estimate. If it is a walk-in estimate, the Service Advisor will provide you with a written estimate on the spot, which will take approximately 20 minutes.



What if I cant come in to sign the authorization form?

We will have the shop contact you to make arrangements.



Is your facility properly equipped?
Yes, our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with cutting edge technology and high-quality tools that allow us to perform seamless repairs on your vehicle. Our facility also has machines necessary for us to complete services such as computerized paint matching or computerized frame repair.


Who will be working on my vehicle?
Our collision specialists have been through extensive training to provide the best quality of auto body repairs. These technicians have spent years repairing many different cars and have the skills and experience to repair the most complex auto issues.


Will you accept my insurance?
CARTEK Collision is proud to work with all major insurance companies in for the convenience of our Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, Pasadena and Glendale customers.


How much is my deductible?

Your deductible depends on your insurance policy. Your insurance provider or insurance agent will be able to give you further information about your deductible.



What if my damages are less than my deductible?

You will only need to pay the total amount due for the repairs, not the full amount of the deductible.



What is a direct repair shop ( DRP )?
A Direct Repair Facility is a body shop that works directly with your insurance company as a preferred shop. Body shops earn the right to be in preferred shop programs by meeting certain requirements such as having certified technicians, using the proper equipment, and having a record of satisfied customers. A preferred shop actually writes the estimate, orders the parts, and repairs your vehicle without having to wait for an insurance adjuster.


Am I required to obtain more than one estimate?
You are NOT required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.


Do I have to go to a specific repair shop?
No, you have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice.


Are differences in estimates common?
Yes, differences in estimates are common. If you are unsure of why one estimate is different than another, just ask.


The accident wasn't my fault.  Why do I have to pay the deductible?

If an accident wasn’t your fault, you may be reimbursed by the insurance provider of the party who is at fault. However, you may need to pay the deductible on your own insurance until any reimbursement is paid.



Can I get other damages on the car fixed even though they are not part of my claim?

Absolutely. Please let CarTek Collision Repair Center know what else you’d like fixed when you’re dropping off your vehicle.



I have two claims.  Will they both be fixed at once?

Yes, please let us know when you’re dropping off your vehicle. Please note that your insurance provider may require you to pay two deductibles in this case.



Do you have appraisers on site?
Yes, we have licensed and experienced appraisers on site to provide an estimate that you can trust.


Do I have rental coverage?

Your insurance provider or insurance agent can confirm this for you. If you’re unsure whether or not you have rental coverage, we can still set up a reservation for you when you make an appointment. If you don’t have rental coverage, and would prefer not to rent a car, you can always decline the rental during drop off.



What if I do not have rental coverage on my policy?

Most rental companies work directly with Insurance companies. You may be qualify for discounted rates even if you don’t have rental coverage.



Do you offer rental cars?
Yes, if your vehicle requires extensive auto body repairs, you don’t have to be without a vehicle. At CARTEK Collision, we keep rental vehicles on site so that you can rent one after you drop of your vehicle.


What do I do with the rental car when I come pick up my vehicle?

You can leave the rental at our shop. We’ll take care of it.



When do I pay the repair center?

Payment is made upon pick-up, once the repairs are complete.



What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash, check, money order, and major credit cards are accepted. Contact your local Service King for further details on payments.
